The arrangement in one paragraph
Chip Room Signal takes part in affiliate programmes run by some of the casino operators it reviews. When you follow a marked link — the "Visit" links on operator cards — and then register or deposit with that operator, the operator may pay this site a commission. You pay nothing extra; the commission comes out of the operator's marketing budget, not your pocket.
What the money does not buy
Commissions do not buy scores, rankings, the featured slot, or softer criticism. Reviews are finished before commercial terms are looked at, no operator sees a review before it's published, and operators without any affiliate deal are scored by exactly the same eight criteria. The house rules are laid out on the about page; the scoring routine itself is in the methodology section.
The role of this site, stated plainly: Chip Room Signal is an independent comparison and reviews resource. It is not a casino or a bookmaker, holds no gambling licence because it needs none, runs no games, takes no bets, and never touches customer funds. It is not owned by, or an investor in, any operator it lists. Its only commercial relationship with operators is the affiliate arrangement described on this page.
How you can tell what's a paid link
Every affiliate link on this site sits on an operator card or review and is accompanied by an "Ad · 18+ · T&Cs apply" note where an offer is mentioned. Links to regulators, charities and information pages — the UKGC, GamStop, GamCare, GambleAware — are never affiliate links and earn nothing.
Why trust a site that's paid this way?
Fair question. The honest answer: affiliate funding is how most comparison sites in most industries pay their bills, from credit cards to broadband. What separates a useful one from a shill is whether the incentive is disclosed and whether the editorial process resists it. This site's answer to the first is the page you're reading; its answer to the second is a scoring method you can check against your own experience — and a correction form on the contact page for when something's wrong.
One thing that will never appear here
Any suggestion that gambling is a way to make money, beat the system, or fund anything. It isn't. Offers are described by their structure and terms, never as free money, and the responsible gambling page is linked from every page on this site because it belongs there.
